ingressに熱中したエージェントが１ヶ月で１５キロやせた、とか、ダイエットに有効、とされるingress。

じゃぁ本当にやせるのか、というと、ingressを始めて数ヶ月経ちますが、最初に５キロごそっと減ってからは油断した食生活のせいか、そんなに進歩はありませんw
ingressで運動量は増えた
けれど、運動量が増えたか、というと確実に増えてます。
iPhoneの無料アプリでargusというヘルスケア系のアプリがあります。
iPhone5S以降のM7プロセッサを使って省電力で歩数や移動距離を測定する優秀なアプリなんですが、
僕はingressを始める前からこれでiPhoneを歩数計として使ってました。
このアプリのデータを使って、「ingress以前」の２月と「ingress以後」の１０月のグラフ表示を見比べてみます。
左は２月のデータ、右は直近のデータで、グラフは上の緑が歩数、下のブルーが自転車で走行した距離です。
自転車はingressがきっかけなので２月はないのですが、直近は自転車で走っている時間があるにも関わらず、歩数も伸びていますね。１万歩いくのがせいぜいの所から、1.5万歩平均くらいになっています。
自転車の距離がまちまちなのは、行ったところのポータルの密集度とほぼイコールだと思います。密集していれば時間の割には走行距離は減りますし、ポータル間の距離が長ければ走行距離も増える、と。
歩く事の意識が変わる
これまでも歩く事は嫌いではなかったですが、ingressをやる事で当然遠回りが苦にならなくなったのと、ちょっとした距離、車移動を迷うくらいの所でも、ポジティブに歩きを選択するようになりました。
またちょっとした用事で出て行くのが、当然ポータルも回ってくるのですが、ホイホイ行くようになりました。コンビニまで行くのが面倒くさい、という時でも、ついでにポータルでHACKしてくるから、という感じで出て行けます。
ダイエットについては結論が出てませんが、痩せたい人が痩せる前にダイエットになる行動（走るとか食べないとか）に挫折してしまう事が多いということなので、そういう意味ではingressの継続性（中毒性？）は十分ですね。
